Analysis of Synergistic Stator Permanent Magnet Machine With the Synergies of Flux-Switching and Flux-Reversal Effects

Dual permanent magnet (PM) machines have attracted numerous interests due to the high torque density and compact volume . This article investigates a synergistic PM with synergies of flux switching reversal effects. The flux-reversal flux-switching (FSPM) paths circulate from two sides split teeth separately, which avoid over-saturation dual excitations. preferred stator rotor pole number is derived simplified analytical model influence leading parameters analyzed as design guidelines. Furthermore, machine optimized compared FSPM machines. It revealed that exhibits ∼20%, ∼10%, ∼17% higher than conventional machine, C-core E-core respectively. Besides, good weakening capability achieved larger inductance efficiency obtained at both low-speed high-speed operations. Finally, an experimental prototype fabricated validate proposed concepts.
